The Sutter Yuba Taxpayers Association (SYTax) is a non-partisan 501(c) (4) organization emphasizing issues that affect Sutter and Yuba Counties.
We inform taxpayers, promote the wise use of public funds, oppose waste, advise public officials regarding issues of concern to taxpayers and recommend positions that will best serve the taxpayers’ interests.
SYTax believes in efficient, effective, and transparent government.
SYTax supports tax-supported programs that are fair, understandable, cost-effective, and good for the economy; we oppose those that are not. The Members receive analyses of tax and spending proposals, meet regularly with the governmental leaders, and have a clear voice on public policy issues. Sutter Yuba Taxpayers Association reviews all ballot initiatives then educations taxpayers using facts to influence voters.
Without the help and generous support of residents here in Sutter and Yuba Counties, SYTax could not be effective in its mission to advocate for and inform taxpayers about issues critical to them.
Issues like these:
SYTax opposes Measure D – Yuba City General Sales Tax increase of 1%. An analysis of the city Operating Budget exposes unsustainable salary increases without a source of revenue. Review of the Capital Improvement Plan Budget shows plans that have been stalled while costs increase exposing a lack of project management.
Your continued support is vital. We hope that you will consider membership in SYTax at whatever level you feel is appropriate.
